Cupping Therapy can be thought of as an inverse of massage.
Rather than applying pressure to muscles the cups use suction to pull the skin and tissue away from the body.
You may feel a tight sensation in the area of the cup and generally this sensation is relaxing.
Cupping causes the skin to temporarily turn red, blue or purple.
The skin discoloration can last anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.
Once the marks have cleared, the session can be repeated until issues are resolved.
The purpose of Cupping is to enhance circulation, help relieve pain,
stimulate energy flow and balance and draw out toxins that linger in your body’s tissues.
