Post Surgical Lymphatic Drainage

Post Surgical Lymphatic Drainage

Post-surgical lymphatic drainage massage is a specialized, gentle therapy designed to support the body's healing process immediately after surgery by enhancing lymphatic flow to assist with reducing swelling.

Using light, rhythmic strokes, dry brushes, cords and hydrotherapy, this treatment helps to improve circulation, decrease fluid retention, and accelerate the removal of toxins, promoting faster recovery.

Ideal for individuals recovering from recent surgery. We recommend a series of sessions be scheduled prior to receiving surgery in order to ensure timely appointments can be made. Post surgical lymphatic drainage should begin 24 hours post-op, continue 2-3x per week for the first 2-3 weeks, remain weekly for the next 4 weeks and have assessments made during each visit.

By supporting the lymphatic system, post-surgical lymphatic drainage massage helps to restore balance and accelerate the body’s natural recovery process, leaving you feeling more comfortable and rejuvenated.

Licensed massage therapists are not permitted to insert or remove any device from the body including drains, sutures, wound dressing, surgical tape, KT tape, etc. Only a licensed physician can perform these tasks.
