With an increased access to cosmetic surgeons, cosmetic procedures are increasing as well. The common surgical cosmetic procedures that affect the massage industry are breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tucks and fat transplants. Surgeons and physicians have determined that lymphatic massage post surgery can decrease recovery time and improve the client’s wellbeing. This course provides an extensive exploration of the lymphatic system and how massage techniques can affect it. We will be focusing on the common cosmetic surgical areas mentioned and provide techniques, application and approaches to create a physiological effect on the lymphatic drainage process.
