PROVIDER-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
+ RIGHT TO TERMINATE
To help ensure a safe, comfortable, and private environment for all guests and staff, we maintain the following provider-client relationship; right to terminate standards:
Environment:
-
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, professional, and therapeutic environment for every client. A successful provider–client relationship requires mutual trust, respect, appropriate communication, and professional boundaries.
Discontinuing Care:
-
Our providers reserve the professional right to discontinue or decline ongoing care when they determine that continuing the provider–client relationship is no longer appropriate, beneficial, or consistent with professional standards.
-
This determination may be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to therapeutic fit, treatment goals, professional boundaries, communication concerns, repeated policy violations, or circumstances that may interfere with the provider's ability to provide appropriate care.
-
Termination of care is not necessarily a reflection of a client's character or worth, nor does it imply that a client has done something wrong. In some circumstances, a provider may simply determine that another practitioner or setting may be better suited to the client's needs.
-
Outside Recommendations:
-
When appropriate and reasonably possible, clients will be provided notice of the termination and may be offered information or referrals to alternative providers.
Safety Violations:
-
In situations involving safety concerns, significant boundary violations, inappropriate conduct, or other circumstances requiring immediate action, services may be discontinued without advance notice.
Compliance:
-
Once a provider–client relationship has been formally terminated, future appointments may be declined, including requests to schedule with another provider within our practice, when management determines that doing so is appropriate.
-
We reserve the right to make decisions regarding the continuation of services in the best interest of our clients, providers, and the overall safety and integrity of our practice.
We appreciate your understanding, as these policies allow us to continue providing exceptional service and experiences for all clients.
